Meetings

Are you planning a meeting, workshop, working group, seminar, or retreat?

The Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill offers an intimate space in a historic stone building surrounded by a beautiful desert environment. During breaks you can enjoy the Sonoran Plant Garden and learn more about the desert Laboratory and its work.

There are three individual spaces, which can be combined however best works for your event. Wifi is available throughout the grounds should it be needed.

The Desert Laboratory Library

Our library seats a maximum of 40 people audience-style and can also be arranged with one to several tables for meetings of up to ca. 20 people.

Audio visual is available with a large retractable projector screen.

The Map Room

A recently re-furnished room in the main laboratory building caters to small working groups, ca. 3-8 people.

Audio visual is available with a 49" TV monitor with video conferenceing capability.

Classroom

The largest space, the classroom seats a maximum of ca. 60 people. Tables and chairs can be set up conference-style for smaller groups.

Audio visual is available with a large retractable projector screen.

Note:

We do not offer food service. You can bring your own food and drink or arrange with a caterer to have it delivered.

Parking is limited so plan to carpool. We can help arrange logistics.

Tours

The best way to learn about the 100+ years of history and 4,000+ years of archaeolgy is through a tour of the Desert Laboratory and/or Tumamoc Hill.

Tour options:

(1) Lab buildings and/or top, $300 (an additional $100 may be asked by the tour guide).

(2) Tumamoc Hill flatlands and agave fields, $300 (an additional $100 may be asked by the tour guide). 

(3) Lab buildings and/or top, & Tumamoc Hill flatlands and agave fields $500 (an additional $100 may be asked by the tour guide).

            Reduced rates for benefits may be available upon request
