Jeffrey J, (John) Sanders, PhD

Collections Designated Campus Colleague

I am a vertebrate paleontologist with an interest in Quaternary mammals, particular mammoths and mastodons and carnivores that preyed upon them including ancient people. My North American field work has taken me throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Missouri, and Illinois. Foreign field work has been in NW Pakistan, E Africa, and Russia, including Siberia. In addition to these activities focused on excavation I have been active in the museum setting, where I have conducted fossil repair, consolidation, and curation and have incorporated these materials in exhibition development.
